Huge 8-bit and ST collection for sale
Posted: Mon Oct 16, 2006 2:55 am
I've finally managed to catalog my whole collection of Atari 8-bit and 16-bit hardware, software, and documentation. The list is below. Note that everything worked when I stored it away and it has been stored indoors, but I can't vouch for everything working today.
If you're interested, please let me know what you're willing to offer for either the 8-bit or 16-bit collection (or both). I'm not interested in selling individual pieces unless I don't get any reasonable offers for either whole bundle, in which case I'll let everyone know. After a few days (to ensure everyone who is interested has had a chance to make an offer) I'll respond to the most attractive offers to work out details. I'm located in Sunnyvale, CA, so local pickup would be preferred; if things are to be shipped, you'll be responsible for postage by your choice of carrier. Note that much of this stuff is heavy; shipping won't be inexpensive for a full bundle.
I have perfect feedback on eBay (http://feedback.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.d ... =BillShepp) other than one person I bought from who sent defective merchandise and has since abandoned his user ID (I wasn't his only unhappy customer). Having had a true love for all things Atari for many years I'm hopeful this collection will end up with someone who has a similar passion. In high school I managed the computer department of an Atari 8-bit only video/computer store in Des Moines, and wrote a video rental store inventory database program (Video Wizard) which ran on the 800 and was used in stores in Iowa and Florida. During college I had a column and wrote reviews for a short-lived computer magazine. With our second baby coming in two months I've just had to face the reality that I'm unlikely to have time to explore any of this again.
Here's the list. If you have questions I'll try to answer, but my memory of some of the specifics for this hardware/software is a bit fuzzy.
