Just a quick question guys. Been reading up on how to transfer image files back to floppy and I have done it in the past using an internal drive on the PC with great success.
Now that I own a very modern PC the motherboard doesn't have an interface to install a floppy drive and I know that you can't use a USB floppy drive with transfer software due to the incompatible disk size / tracks etc.
On Ebay you can buy usb adapters to connect an internal drive to usb

Does anyone know if this will do the trick? Just don't want to have to get hold of an old PC just for this purpose if i can help it.

Re: St images back to floppy
Sorry for a bit late answer. In general the USB-drives don't have good enough disk controllers to support the various drive parameters needed by ST stuff. So I guess it depends on how compatible the USB-adapter is with the original drive. Unfortunately I have no experience on this
