At least I hope Chris won't give up the work as other people usually do. I have heard about too many conversion projects (Time Pilot, 4Pac, Mario Bros., Bubble Bobble, International Karate +, Elite, etc.) that were started enthusiastically but never updated or finished...

Quite usual, unfortunately.

However, when the games are finished, they are often excellent : great quality.
I bought some homebrews for Colecovision, and I was amazed to see how professional the releases were.

I notice you don't have this game (released July 2011) in your great database. Please feel free to share if you wish

From http://www.sheddyshack.co.uk (site no longer exists):

I’m very pleased to be able to finally announce the release of Space Harrier for the Atari XL/XE series of computers with 64K of memory or more.

Due to the size of the game it is only available as a cartridge image which can be run on emulators such as Altirra, or run on a real machine with an 8mbit Atarimax Maxflash cartridge and programming image

Space Harrier 8mbit Maxflash Cartridge Image (Zipped BIN)
(351.13 KiB) Downloaded 1824 times
Notes:

Reduce screen flicker on real TV or monitor by adjusting brightness and contrast
Reduce screen flicker with emulator by choosing “Blending” or adjust monitor refresh rate to same screen rate as emulated Atari (NTSC= 60Hz, PAL=50Hz)
Now includes fix for “Bank 0″ Maxflash cartridges
Small optimize bug fix (30th August 2011)
