Trasnfer basic program from one ATR file to another ATR file

I have a basic game on an ATR file that is corrupt yet I can load the ATR file if I use XL mode in Altirra. It fails using 400/800 mode. Is there a way in Altirra to copy/transfer the program to a clean DOS2 formatted ATR file? The corrupt ATR file according to Altirra Disk Explorer is MyDos formatted, but I cannot access the disk using any loaded DOS that I try, even MyDos.

I tried printing the code using the printer feature in Altirra, and copying the output to notepad to then copy it back into Altirra, but special characters become garbled text. Is there a way to use the printer feature and retain special keyboard characters?

try using makeATR or ATRutils
both should help - but with slightly different approaches
